Hyde Park

As one of London’s largest free parks, Hyde Park spans across 350 acres and is a very popular place for both tourists and locals for picnicking and wandering around. It is open from 5 AM until midnight every day, giving you plenty of time to explore all the grounds.

Originally a hunting ground for the elite, the park was opened to the public in 1637 by King Charles I. It contains many historical landmarks such as the Serpentine Lake, Speaker’s Corner and the Diana Princess of Wales memorial fountain. If you are visiting London in Winter, be sure to check out Winter Wonderland, a seasonal event that is hosted in Hyde Park beginning in November.

Visitors can reach Hyde Park by getting off at Hyde Park Corner Underground Station via the Piccadilly or Central Line.
Visitors can also visit Kensington Palace, which is only adjacent to Hyde Park.
