Harrods

Harrods, a luxury department store located in Knightsbridge, features over 300 departments with a wide range of products and services across its over one million square feet of retail space. It is one of the world’s largest department stores. The Knightsbridge shop was established in 1849.

The department store has a royal history, previously holding Royal Warrants from both the Queen and Prince Charles. The store also has a memorial dedicated to the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Harrods is also the host to the first escalator in England. Memorable items that had been on display and for sale include: Marilyn Monroe’s autograph, Gandhi’s autograph, and BB King’s guitar.
Once visitors have exhausted the different departments at Harrods, they can continue to shop at the many retailers on Brompton Road or head a block towards Knightsbridge Station, where they will come across another massive department store, Harvey Nichols.
The store reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone wearing attire considered inappropriate (E.g. they may bar high-cut, Bermuda or beach shorts, swimwear, cycling shorts, flip flops and thong sandals), so dress nicely for a stress-free experience. You must also wear your backpack or big bags on the front to avoid accidentally knocking over something.
The store is open from 10:00 until 21:00 from Monday to Saturday, and 11:30 to 18:00 on Sundays.
To get there, travel to Knightsbridge Underground Station by Tube via the Piccadilly Line.
